Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola delivered heartfelt words of advice to his daughter, Temi Otedola, and her husband, Afrobeats star Mr Eazi, during their wedding reception in Iceland.
Temi and Mr Eazi, whose real name is Tosin Ajibade, tied the knot in a private ceremony. A video from the reception has since gone viral, capturing the proud father’s emotional speech.
Otedola praised the couple’s love, character, and entrepreneurial spirit, describing their union as “made in heaven.” Speaking directly to his daughter, he encouraged her to embrace her new role as a wife while honoring the bond she shares with her husband.
“You found a great guy, very great guy, blessed guy. He’s come from a very decent family,” Otedola said. “One thing I’ll advise you… you have to succumb to the whims and caprices of your husband. Okay? He’s your husband, he’s your boss. There’s no more dad, don’t call me up.”
He went on to highlight the couple’s compatibility, noting their shared drive in business and creativity. “One thing I like about both of you and I’ve observed is, you’re truly in love with each other. Truly, truly in love. Temi is an entrepreneur. Tosin is an entrepreneur. So you match each other. It was made in heaven. For Tosin, you will go places.”
To crown the moment, Otedola gifted the newlyweds a copy of his new book, Making It Big, as a symbolic gesture of support for their journey together.
The wedding reception, set against the picturesque Icelandic landscape, reflected both the couple’s global outlook and the deep cultural ties that continue to inspire their love story.
