Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, delivered an inspiring speech at the wedding of Temi Otedola and singer-entrepreneur Mr Eazi (born Tosin Ajibade), where he praised the couple’s ambition and business acumen.
Speaking at the private ceremony in Iceland, Dangote revealed that he only recently discovered that Mr Eazi runs 18 businesses across Africa. He expressed admiration for the groom’s entrepreneurial drive, while predicting a bright financial future for the newlyweds.
“I never knew that you have businesses in 18 countries in Africa. I must really congratulate you for being a great guy,” Dangote said. “Knowing that the two of you are always very charming, very entrepreneurial, I’m sure in the next few years we will take a back seat and call you the richest people on earth.”
Dangote also paid tribute to his long-time friend and fellow billionaire, Femi Otedola, father of the bride. “Femi is not only my friend, he is my brother. Where you see me, you see Femi. If there is any brother that I have that is not of the same mother and father, that brother is Femi,” he added.
The ceremony was marked by emotional moments, as Temi Otedola officially adopted her husband’s surname, now bearing the name Temi Ajibade.
With the blessings of two of Nigeria’s most influential business moguls — Dangote and Otedola — Temi and Mr Eazi’s union has been celebrated not only as a love story but also as a powerful merging of entrepreneurial vision and legacy.
