VIDEO: Fire Outbreak Guts Yinka Ayefele’s Fresh FM Station in Ibadan

A fire outbreak on Friday night engulfed Fresh 105.9 FM, the popular Ibadan-based radio station owned by gospel musician Yinka Ayefele. The incident occurred at the station’s headquarters in the Challenge area of the Oyo State capital.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the blaze spread rapidly, sending staff and residents of the area into panic. One witness, Samuel Ibikunle, raised alarm in a public appeal, urging swift intervention. “Fresh FM is currently on fire! We urgently need the Fire Service to respond immediately. Please spread the word and alert the nearest station,” he said.

The Oyo State Fire Service confirmed the incident through its Chairman, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, who assured that firefighters had already been deployed. “We are already there,” he stated, confirming their presence at the scene.

As of the time of this report, the management of Fresh FM has not released an official statement regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
