President Bola Tinubu on Friday left Abuja for a two-nation official visit that will take him to Japan and Brazil, with a brief stopover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The trip is part of ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s international partnerships and exploring new avenues for economic cooperation.
At the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the President was seen off by top government officials, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Before boarding the presidential jet, President Tinubu exchanged warm handshakes and pleasantries with the dignitaries, who had gathered to wish him well on the journey.
The visits to Japan and Brazil are expected to focus on trade, investment, and bilateral cooperation, furthering Nigeria’s foreign policy agenda of fostering strong international alliances.
