Atlético Madrid have secured the signing of Italy international Giacomo Raspadori from Napoli in a deal worth €26 million, including add-ons. The 25-year-old forward has penned a five-year contract with the Spanish club, becoming the second Italian to join Los Colchoneros this summer following Matteo Ruggeri’s arrival from Atalanta.

According to reports, the agreement includes a €22 million fixed fee plus €4 million in easily achievable bonuses linked to Champions League participation. Atlético officially announced the move on Monday, hailing Raspadori’s versatility and goal-scoring prowess.

Raspadori joined Napoli from Sassuolo in 2022 on a €5 million loan with an obligation to buy for an additional €28 million. During his time in Naples, he played a pivotal role in the club’s two Serie A title triumphs over the past three seasons, contributing 18 goals and 10 assists in 109 competitive appearances.

On the international stage, Raspadori has earned 40 senior caps for Italy, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. He was also part of the Azzurri squad that lifted the UEFA Euro 2020 trophy.
Atlético Madrid’s acquisition of Raspadori further strengthens Diego Simeone’s attacking options as the club aims for domestic and European success in the upcoming season.
