Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail on Wednesday following his conviction on federal prostitution charges, marking a major development in the high-profile legal battle that has captured national attention.
While a federal jury acquitted Combs of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, he was found guilty on two counts of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution.

The decision came from U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who ruled that Combs would remain in custody as he awaits sentencing. Each of the two charges carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison, meaning the artist and entrepreneur could face up to 20 years behind bars.

Prosecutors argued that releasing Combs on bail posed a flight risk, citing the severity of the charges and the resources at his disposal. Judge Subramanian agreed, emphasizing the seriousness of the convictions despite the jury clearing Combs of broader criminal conspiracy charges.
