U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that recent American military strikes were decisive in bringing an end to the conflict between Iran and Israel, stating boldly: “That hit ended the war.”

Trump made the remarks following the announcement of a ceasefire between the two long-time adversaries, which he had earlier said would unfold in a phased process. According to Trump, the U.S. intervention, which targeted key Iranian military and nuclear facilities, forced a turning point in the 12-day confrontation.

“The moment we acted, it was over,” Trump said, referring to the strategic airstrikes carried out by the United States in response to Iran’s escalation. “The message was clear, and it was received.”

The ceasefire, which was reportedly agreed to begin with Iran halting its military operations, followed by Israel 12 hours later, has since brought a temporary pause to a conflict that claimed hundreds of lives and threatened broader regional destabilization.
