Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah leads the shortlist for the 2024 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award, following a standout season that saw him power the Reds to Premier League glory.

The 33-year-old Egyptian forward scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists, playing a central role in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign. His outstanding performances also earned him the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year title, with nearly 90% of the votes— the highest winning margin recorded this century.

Salah is joined on the six-man shortlist by fellow Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister, Arsenal’s midfield dynamo Declan Rice, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
