An Israeli military drone has crashed inside Iranian territory after being targeted by a surface-to-air missile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed.
The incident occurred during what the IDF described as an “operational activity.” While the drone was struck and brought down, authorities say no injuries were reported, and there is no indication of any information breach as a result of the crash.
The drone, operated by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), was reportedly conducting reconnaissance when it came under fire. Military officials clarified that although the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fell within Iran, all sensitive data had been securely protected.

Tensions between Israel and Iran have continued to escalate, with drone activity and air defense responses becoming increasingly frequent in the region. The IDF has not disclosed the specific nature or location of the mission that led to the drone’s downing.
The Israeli military emphasized that the loss of the UAV poses no immediate threat to national security, and operational integrity remains intact.
