Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spoken with several world leaders as part of Israel’s diplomatic push to shore up international backing amid its intensifying confrontation with Iran.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu held discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday.

The talks, described as strategic and urgent, focused on what Israel has called the “Iranian threat of annihilation.” The leaders reportedly expressed understanding of Israel’s security concerns and the country’s right to defend itself against what Netanyahu described as existential threats from Tehran.

“In light of the gravity of the threat Israel is facing, I have found significant understanding and support among our international partners,” Netanyahu said, noting that he would remain in contact with them as the situation unfolds.

Netanyahu is also scheduled to hold conversations with U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the coming days. These upcoming engagements are expected to be critical in shaping the diplomatic and geopolitical response to the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.

This diplomatic outreach follows Operation Rising Lion, Israel’s ongoing military campaign targeting Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure. While the military operations continue, Netanyahu’s parallel diplomatic offensive underscores the stakes involved and Israel’s push to build a broad international coalition of support.
