As the summer transfer window approaches, Leroy Sane’s future at Bayern Munich remains in the balance. The German international, who enjoyed his most prolific Bundesliga campaign in 2024–25, is now weighing his options with his contract set to expire at the end of June.
Sane’s agent, the influential Pini Zahavi, recently revealed that he had a “nice meeting” with Bayern sporting director Max Eberl, but admitted that no concrete progress was made during their discussions.
Speaking to Sky Germany, Zahavi said, “We had a very good dinner, it was a nice dinner, I enjoyed it. But no news. I cannot speak about it, but it was a nice meeting.”

The 29-year-old winger, who joined Bayern from Manchester City in 2020, has been a key figure in Vincent Kompany’s title-winning squad, scoring 10 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

However, with his contract set to expire on June 30, speculation is mounting over a potential return to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both reportedly interested in securing his signature.

Sane’s situation is particularly intriguing given the timing of his contract expiry, which comes after the start of the Club World Cup—a competition Bayern are expected to feature in. Whether or not he’ll be part of that squad could hinge on the outcome of ongoing negotiations in the coming weeks.
The lack of a contract extension announcement from Bayern has only fueled the transfer rumors, and with top Premier League clubs circling, a summer move looks increasingly possible unless Bayern act fast to tie down one of their key attacking assets.
