Tense scenes unfolded at Sana’a International Airport as passengers were seen frantically fleeing a Yemenia Airlines A320 moments before an Israeli airstrike struck the facility. Shocking footage circulating online shows Houthi-affiliated passengers abandoning the aircraft in panic amid sirens and looming danger.
According to regional sources, the airstrike targeted key infrastructure at the airport believed to be under Houthi control. The Yemenia A320, which had just arrived or was preparing for departure, became the center of chaos as airport staff and passengers scrambled to evacuate.
The strike comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Iran-backed groups in the region, with recent escalations involving drone and missile attacks. Sana’a Airport, controlled by Houthi rebels, has long been viewed by military analysts as a potential logistics hub for Iranian support to Yemen’s insurgents.
