In a dramatic escalation of hostilities, Pakistan launched a barrage of Fattah-1 missiles and suicide drones targeting several major Indian cities, including New Delhi, Jammu, Srinagar, Amritsar, Pathankot, Udhampur, Jalandhar, and Sirsa.
However, in a swift and decisive response, India’s air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized the aerial threats, preventing mass casualties and infrastructure damage.
According to defense sources, the Fattah-1 missiles—a tactical short-range ballistic weapon—were accompanied by multiple explosive-laden drones, aimed at causing widespread disruption and psychological impact.
The launch appeared to be a coordinated and premeditated move amidst heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

The Indian Armed Forces responded with high alert readiness, deploying integrated air defense systems, including Barak-8, Akash, and S-400 batteries, to intercept incoming threats.
All missiles and drones were reported to have been shot down before they could reach populated areas, showcasing India’s growing capability to protect its skies in real time. Military analysts hailed the swift response as a “textbook example of modern air defense coordination.”

While sirens rang out in several cities and civilians took shelter, no major casualties or damage have been reported. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and vigilant as airspace remains under high surveillance. Emergency protocols have been activated across Northern India, and top officials are closely monitoring the evolving situation.
