Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly has “no doubts” about his desire to bring Atalanta star Ederson to the Etihad, according to a report from TuttoAtalanta. The Brazilian midfielder has been turning heads across Europe after a standout season in Serie A, playing a crucial role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph.

Since joining Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022, Ederson has developed into one of the most dynamic midfielders in Italy, making nearly 150 appearances under Gian Piero Gasperini and scoring 13 goals. His powerful presence, versatility, and tactical intelligence have made him a sought-after asset for Europe’s top clubs.

Manchester City have reportedly already made initial contact with Atalanta over a potential transfer, although they are not alone in the race.

Manchester United and Juventus are also said to be keen on securing the 25-year-old’s signature. Any club aiming to land Ederson, however, may need to meet Atalanta’s hefty €50 million (£43 million/$57 million) valuation.

Guardiola’s admiration for Ederson is clear, as the City boss looks to bolster his midfield options for the coming season. As City continue their quest for silverware, with an FA Cup clash against Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, transfer plans are also in full swing behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, Ederson remains focused on helping Atalanta finish strong in Serie A, with a top-three spot firmly in their sights. Whether his future lies in Italy or the Premier League, the Brazilian midfielder appears destined for even greater heights as Europe’s elite continue to circle.
