Manchester United have secured the signing of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in a deal worth €30 million, plus an additional €5 million in add-ons. The highly-rated left-back has signed a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2030, with an option for an extension.
Dorgu, one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, expressed his excitement about joining United, particularly under the leadership of Ruben Amorim, who is set to take charge of the club.
“I can’t wait to work with Ruben Amorim. His vision for this team and the future of the club is incredibly exciting,” said the 19-year-old Danish international.

Dorgu, known for his pace, technical ability, and attacking instincts, made a name for himself in Serie A with Lecce, impressing with his defensive solidity and ability to contribute in the final third. His signing adds much-needed depth to United’s left-back position, which has struggled with injuries in recent seasons.
At just 19 years old, he represents a future investment for the Red Devils, but his talent suggests he could make an immediate impact in the Premier League.
