The object could potentially be a subsatellite deployment or simply a piece of hardware discarded before the mission’s conclusion and deorbit, a maneuver similar to one observed during the spaceplane’s first flight. “It will be interesting to see if the plane maneuvers or lands soon,” McDowell added in a subsequent post.
