Popular TikTok content creator Peller has publicly criticized viewers who send virtual gifts during livestreams and later demand a share of the money back.
In a statement shared online, Peller recounted how some TikTok users have been gifting creators only to later message them privately, asking for a refund or a percentage of the amount sent.
“People gift Jarvis on TikTok Live and later ask her to split the money. Someone tried to gift me and then came to my DM asking for 50% of it. I blocked him,” Peller revealed.
His post quickly went viral, sparking conversations about TikTok gifting culture, creator-audience boundaries, and online entitlement. Many fans sided with Peller, arguing that gifts sent during livestreams are voluntary and should not come with conditions or expectations.
