Nigerian preacher, Apostle Femi Lazarus, has sparked widespread discussion after making a bold statement about women, emotions, and self-control during menstruation.
According to the clergyman, menstrual cycles are not an excuse for mood swings or negative attitudes, emphasizing that some women use their period as a cover for deeper emotional instability.
“You are not the first woman to see her period, so your menstruation is not the problem. You are simply not a peaceful person,” Apostle Femi Lazarus stated.
His comment has generated mixed reactions online. While some supporters agree that emotional discipline and spiritual maturity are important regardless of circumstances, others have criticized his statement as insensitive and dismissive of the genuine physical and emotional struggles women face during their menstrual cycle.
