Disturbing reports have surfaced from El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, alleging that UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have executed wounded and disabled civilians and soldiers inside local hospitals.

The incident marks yet another wave of brutality in Sudan’s ongoing conflict, which has devastated the region for more than a year.

Eyewitness accounts and emerging footage describe scenes of horror as RSF fighters reportedly stormed medical facilities, targeting patients who were unable to flee. Many of the victims were said to be receiving treatment for injuries sustained during earlier clashes.

The massacre has sparked outrage among human rights advocates and renewed calls for international intervention. Analysts warn that the continued silence and lack of accountability could embolden further atrocities.

The conflict in Sudan, which began in April 2023 between the RSF and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), has left tens of thousands dead and displaced millions. El Fasher, one of the last strongholds under Sudanese army control in Darfur, has been under siege for months amid heavy fighting and reports of systematic ethnic targeting.

Global organizations, including the United Nations and Amnesty International, have repeatedly condemned attacks on civilians and medical facilities in Sudan, calling them clear violations of international humanitarian law.

As the situation worsens, humanitarian access remains severely restricted, leaving survivors without adequate medical care, food, or shelter.
