A viral video circulating on social media shows a group of South Africans chasing away Nigerian traders selling goods by the roadside. The incident, which has sparked outrage online, reportedly took place in an urban area where several Nigerians operate small businesses.

In the footage, the locals can be heard telling the Nigerians to “go back home and fix your country,” while forcibly dispersing them and ordering them to pack their belongings.

The incident has reignited discussions about xenophobia and anti-immigrant sentiment in South Africa, where foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians and other African migrants, have frequently faced hostility and discrimination.

Many social media users have condemned the act, urging both governments to step in and protect the rights of African migrants living and working in South Africa.
