The city of Kherson has come under intense Russian artillery and missile fire, leaving at least two people dead and 21 others injured, according to Ukraine’s Internal Affairs Ministry.
The heavy bombardment on October 24 targeted several residential areas, with reports indicating that the strikes appeared random and indiscriminate. The attack caused significant damage to homes and civilian infrastructure in the city, which remains under temporary occupation.
Local emergency services have been working to rescue survivors and provide medical assistance to the injured, as the situation in Kherson continues to deteriorate amid ongoing hostilities.
Ukrainian authorities have condemned the attack, calling it yet another example of Russia’s continued assault on civilian populations in defiance of international humanitarian laws.
