Authorities in Utah have identified 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the suspect accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Officials confirmed the arrest following an ongoing investigation into the shooting incident.
Investigators revealed that Robinson’s family members had noticed a shift in his behavior in recent years, noting that he had become more politically outspoken. One family member recalled a recent discussion with Robinson about Kirk’s scheduled appearance at Utah Valley University, where both expressed disapproval of Kirk’s views.
Law enforcement officers said they recovered the weapon believed to have been used in the shooting—a “high-powered, bolt-action rifle”—from a wooded area near the scene.
According to a statement from Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray, formal charges against Robinson are expected to be filed on Tuesday. However, authorities confirmed that the suspect has not entered a guilty plea and has refused to cooperate with investigators.
The case continues to develop as prosecutors prepare their case, while the conservative community and supporters of Charlie Kirk await further updates on the proceedings.
