Niger Delta activist and former militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has issued a stern warning to the Igbo community, urging them to desist from actions he described as harmful to Nigeria’s unity.

Speaking in a strongly worded statement, Dokubo declared that the grievances of the Igbo people would “never be heard” if they continued to engage in activities that undermine the nation. He accused certain groups within the Southeast of promoting unrest and hostility toward the Nigerian state.

“The Igbos, your cries will never be heard if you don’t stop this evil against Nigeria,” Dokubo said, stressing that unity and peace must remain the foundation of the country.

His remarks come amid ongoing tensions and separatist agitations in the Southeast, where the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has repeatedly clashed with security forces while calling for self-determination.

Dokubo’s comments are likely to stir fresh debate across the country, especially within political and activist circles, as Nigeria continues to grapple with ethnic divisions, insecurity, and calls for restructuring.
