Drake’s flagship OVO store in New York City was severely vandalized on Tuesday after a woman went on a destructive rampage, causing over $23,000 worth of damage.
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), officers responded to a call around 4:45 p.m. reporting an act of criminal mischief at the downtown Manhattan store.
Authorities revealed that the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Shauna Stoner from Queens, stormed the store with a hammer, smashing property and attempting to set parts of the building on fire using a lighter and an aerosol can.
The OVO store, which opened in 2016, sells exclusive October’s Very Own clothing, accessories, and merchandise tied to Drake’s globally recognized brand. While the motive remains unclear, reports suggest the woman accused the Canadian rapper of stealing her fashion designs.
Thankfully, no injuries were recorded during the incident. Police swiftly arrested Stoner, who is now facing multiple charges connected to the vandalism and attempted arson. The total damages have been estimated at $23,400, according to police sources.
Drake has not yet publicly commented on the attack at his New York City retail outlet.
