In a daring daylight robbery, two men made off with nearly $1 million from a Brinks armored truck outside a shopping center in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday morning. Police say the heist, which unfolded with startling speed, left no one injured but has triggered a manhunt across the region.
According to Cheltenham police, the armored vehicle was in the process of making a delivery to a bank branch located inside the H Mart along Old York Road when the suspects struck. The men reportedly confronted the driver, ordering her to hand over her firearm before seizing between $700,000 and $800,000 in cash from the vehicle.

The robbers fled the scene in a black four-door Acura TLX with tinted windows. Authorities have not released the suspects’ identities, but investigators are probing possible connections between this incident and other recent armored truck robberies in the area.
“This was a very bold move, carried out in broad daylight at a busy shopping center,” said Police Chief John Snyder. “We are working with local and federal partners to track these individuals down and bring them to justice.”

The robbery has raised concerns about a potential pattern of high-value cash thefts targeting armored vehicles in the Philadelphia suburbs. While Brinks has not issued an official statement, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
For now, the suspects remain at large — along with hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen cash — as authorities intensify their search in hopes of preventing the next strike.
