A sudden flash flood swept through the Jutal Valley in Pakistan-administered Gilgit on the evening of July 23, damaging homes, farmland, and infrastructure in its path. While the incident caused significant concern among residents, local authorities have confirmed that the situation is now under control.

Emergency teams responded swiftly, working overnight to assist affected communities, restore mobility in cut-off areas, and assess the extent of the damage. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, and officials credit the prompt local response and early warnings with helping prevent further loss.
