Ethnic unrest has gripped the town of Torre Pacheco in south-eastern Spain following a violent incident that reportedly triggered days of clashes.
According to local reports, the unrest began after a 70-year-old Spanish man was assaulted by a group of young individuals of Moroccan origin — an act that some witnesses described as unprovoked and senseless.
The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, sparked outrage among local residents and fueled rising tensions in the community. Demonstrations and confrontations have since broken out, with authorities confirming several injuries and property damage in the days that followed.
