Tensions in the Taiwan Strait flared again this week as China launched a large-scale naval formation training exercise just across the waters from Taiwan.
The maneuver, described by Chinese state media as “naval formation training at sea,” underscores Beijing’s continued military pressure in the region and comes amid growing concerns over the potential for escalation.
According to reports, multiple Chinese warships participated in coordinated operations that included live navigation drills, tactical coordination, and fleet maneuvering. The training took place in waters close to Taiwan, an area that has become a frequent flashpoint as Beijing intensifies efforts to assert its claims over the self-governed island.
