Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to securing the return of all remaining hostages held by Hamas, as new figures reveal the status of those still in captivity.

Speaking on Tuesday, Netanyahu stated that a total of 205 hostages have been recovered since the conflict began — 148 of whom are confirmed to be alive. Of the hostages who remain in Gaza, 20 are believed to be alive, while 30 are confirmed dead.

“We are determined to return them all,” Netanyahu said, emphasizing the government’s ongoing military and diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis and bring every hostage back, whether alive or deceased.

The Israeli leader’s remarks come amid continued pressure from families of the hostages and international mediators to accelerate negotiations for their release. Talks have been complicated by the ongoing military operations in Gaza and the political tensions surrounding any potential ceasefire agreement.

The fate of the hostages has become a deeply emotional and unifying issue across Israel, sparking protests, vigils, and public appeals. Netanyahu’s latest statement signals a renewed resolve from his administration to prioritize their return, even as the broader conflict continues to escalate.
