The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of heavy airstrikes on Gaza City and Khan Yunis on Tuesday, intensifying military operations in the densely populated enclave. The renewed bombardments come amid ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas, with the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip growing increasingly dire.

Witnesses in Gaza City reported multiple explosions as Israeli jets targeted what the military described as Hamas strongholds and weapons storage facilities. In Khan Yunis, located in the southern part of the strip, strikes reportedly hit key infrastructure and militant positions. Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising above the skyline as rescue teams rushed to affected areas.

The IDF stated that the strikes were part of a broader operation aimed at dismantling Hamas’s military capabilities and preventing further rocket attacks into Israeli territory. Military officials claimed the targeted locations were being used to coordinate attacks and store weapons intended for use against Israeli civilians and troops.
