The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen as Israeli forces launched a deadly overnight airstrike on a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Bureij refugee camp, located in central Gaza. The strike, part of an ongoing wave of attacks across the besieged enclave, left several casualties and widespread devastation.

Reporting from Gaza, journalist Tareq Abu Azzoum detailed the aftermath of the bombing, describing scenes of chaos as rescue teams scrambled to pull survivors from the rubble. The school, which had been serving as a refuge for families fleeing violence in other parts of the Strip, was severely damaged in the assault.

This attack marks another grim chapter in the ongoing conflict, where civilian infrastructure—especially schools, hospitals, and shelters—has frequently come under fire. Human rights groups and international observers have repeatedly warned of the dire consequences of targeting areas densely populated with civilians, calling for immediate measures to protect the most vulnerable.
