Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has revealed that he will soon broadcast a high-stakes interview with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as tensions continue to simmer between Iran, the United States, and Israel. The announcement comes just days after reports of military confrontations involving Iran, adding urgency and controversy to the upcoming broadcast.
In a preview clip from The Tucker Carlson Show, Carlson acknowledged the backlash he anticipates for holding the interview, but stood firm in his decision to move forward. “We know we’ll be criticized for doing this interview. Why did we do it anyway? Well, we did it because we were just at war with Iran 10 days ago — and maybe again,” Carlson said.

Framing the interview as a matter of public right and national interest, Carlson added, “Our view, which has remained consistent over time, is that American citizens have the constitutional right — and the God-given right — to all the information they can gather about matters that affect them.”

The interview is expected to offer rare, direct insight from the Iranian leadership at a time of escalating geopolitical volatility. While no official air date has been confirmed, Carlson’s team has signaled it will be released in the coming days on his independent media platform.

President Pezeshkian’s appearance will mark one of the few times a sitting Iranian leader has spoken directly to an American media figure since diplomatic relations between the two nations deteriorated decades ago. Carlson’s move is seen by some as a bold journalistic effort and by others as a potentially polarizing platform for an adversarial regime.

Regardless of perspective, the upcoming interview promises to draw international attention, especially as the stakes in the Middle East remain high and the public seeks clarity on the direction of U.S.-Iran relations.
