Tensions have erupted in Spain following a violent police crackdown on a group of protesters near an asylum center in Alcalá de Henares, a suburban community just outside Madrid.
The demonstration, which took place in response to the government’s decision to relocate undocumented migrants to the area, quickly turned chaotic, prompting national outrage and sparking debate over law enforcement conduct and immigration policy.

Eyewitnesses say the protest began peacefully, with local residents voicing frustration over what they described as a lack of consultation and transparency regarding the arrival of new asylum seekers.
However, the situation escalated dramatically when riot police were deployed to the scene. Videos circulating on social media show officers using batons and force to disperse the crowd, leading to several injuries and widespread condemnation.
