Spain has seen a new wave of migrant arrivals in recent days, as boats carrying individuals from North and Sub-Saharan Africa reached coastal regions, reigniting national debate over immigration and border control policies.
Local authorities confirmed that groups of migrants—many of whom are believed to have departed from Morocco and Algeria—landed on Spanish shores, with some being intercepted by maritime rescue teams and others arriving independently.

The latest arrivals follow a pattern seen throughout recent years, as Spain remains one of the main gateways for irregular migration into Europe due to its proximity to Africa.
