Iranian security forces have arrested several Afghan nationals during a raid on a factory in southern Tehran, accusing them of involvement in a drone attack targeting Iranian air defense systems in the city of Isfahan. The individuals are suspected of working on behalf of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, according to Iranian authorities.

The arrests come amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel, following a series of tit-for-tat strikes and intelligence operations in recent months.

Iran’s state media reported that the operation was carried out by the Islamic Republic’s police and security forces, who stormed the industrial facility believed to have been used for assembling or launching unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) directed at strategic military sites.

Isfahan, located in central Iran, houses several critical military and nuclear facilities. Iranian air defenses in the region were reportedly targeted by drones in recent weeks, though the government has offered limited public details on the scale or effectiveness of the attacks.

Iranian officials have vowed to pursue all individuals and networks linked to these operations, promising a swift and firm response to any foreign attempts to destabilize the country.
