Tensions escalated in Gaza today as the Abu Zayed family, joined by members of other prominent clans, staged a public march condemning Hamas following the killing of one of their sons. The slain man, reportedly a member of the Abu Zayed family, was allegedly killed by Hamas-affiliated forces under circumstances that remain contested. The incident has sparked outrage among several Gaza clans, who accuse the group of acting with impunity and violently suppressing dissent.

The protest underscores a growing undercurrent of frustration among some Gazan families who feel increasingly alienated from Hamas leadership, especially as internal governance becomes more strained under the weight of war, siege, and economic collapse.
