An Israeli soldier was fatally shot by a sniper in Gaza, marking a deadly escalation in the already volatile conflict gripping the region. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that the soldier was targeted during operations near the border area.
According to military sources, the soldier was struck by precision sniper fire while on active duty. Emergency teams responded immediately, but the soldier succumbed to his injuries shortly after. His identity has not yet been publicly released, pending notification of family members.

The assassination has intensified concerns over the security situation in and around Gaza, where hostilities between Israeli forces and armed factions have flared repeatedly in recent weeks.
