At least four people were killed early Tuesday morning in the southern Israeli city of Be’er Sheva after an Iranian missile struck a residential building, just hours before a ceasefire between Iran and Israel was declared.
The deadly attack occurred as Iran launched a fresh wave of missile strikes, despite Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s earlier statement suggesting that Tehran was willing to halt its operations—on the condition that Israel stopped its airstrikes.

In Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire agreement between the two arch-rivals had “now come into effect.” He issued a warning to both sides, urging them not to violate the terms of the truce.

According to Trump, the ceasefire is designed as a phased process, with Iran expected to halt its strikes first, followed by Israel several hours later. The timing of the Be’er Sheva strike underscores the uncertainty surrounding the truce’s enforcement, as both sides continue to exchange fire even as diplomatic efforts unfold.
