A towering blaze broke out late Friday night in a 67-storey residential skyscraper in Dubai Marina, prompting a massive emergency response that lasted into the early hours of Saturday. Thanks to swift and coordinated action by Dubai Civil Defence, all 3,820 residents from 764 apartments were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.
According to the Dubai Media Office, the fire started late in the evening and was fully extinguished after approximately six hours of intense firefighting. Teams of firefighters, paramedics, and medical staff were on-site throughout the night, working together to contain the flames and protect residents.

As a precautionary measure, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) suspended tram services between Dubai Marina stations. In response, shuttle buses were deployed to maintain transport connectivity, while the remainder of the tram network continued operating as normal.

In an official statement, the RTA emphasized that “the safety of our passengers and operations is our top priority,” and confirmed that full tram service would only resume after comprehensive safety inspections are completed. Authorities are working closely to assess the infrastructure and ensure a safe return to operations.

The incident has once again highlighted the efficiency and preparedness of Dubai’s emergency services, with residents and local officials expressing relief over the swift evacuation and absence of casualties. The cause of the fire has not yet been officially disclosed, but investigations are underway.
As of Saturday morning, recovery efforts and inspections are ongoing, and authorities are urging patience as safety remains the city’s foremost concern.
