Tensions in the Middle East escalated on Monday after Iran issued a stern warning to Israel, vowing that any attack on its nuclear facilities would be met with serious consequences.
In a strongly worded statement, Iranian officials declared that Israel would “regret” any aggressive move against its nuclear infrastructure. The warning comes amid growing speculation that Israel might consider preemptive strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, especially as international talks over Tehran’s nuclear program remain stalled.
“The Zionist regime must understand that any foolish action against Iran’s nuclear facilities will face a decisive and painful response,” an Iranian spokesperson said during a televised briefing. “We will defend our sovereignty with full force, and any aggression will not go unanswered.”

This warning follows recent Israeli statements expressing concern over Iran’s continued uranium enrichment and the perceived threat it poses to regional stability. Israel has long opposed Iran’s nuclear ambitions, viewing them as a direct existential threat, while Iran insists its program is purely for peaceful purposes.
The United Nations and several global leaders have urged both sides to exercise restraint and return to diplomatic dialogue.
