The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an airstrike on Al-Nour Tower, located in the Saftawi district of northern Gaza, on Tuesday. The strike is part of the ongoing military campaign in the region, as tensions between Israel and Hamas continue to escalate.

Eyewitnesses reported a powerful explosion as the building was hit, sending plumes of smoke into the sky and causing widespread panic among nearby residents. Al-Nour Tower, a multi-story structure, reportedly housed both residential units and offices.

The IDF has yet to release an official statement detailing the rationale behind the strike, but similar actions in recent weeks have targeted what Israeli officials claim are Hamas command centers or militant infrastructure embedded in civilian areas.

Palestinian media outlets have condemned the attack, citing potential civilian casualties and further damage to critical infrastructure in the already devastated enclave.

The Saftawi area, situated in northern Gaza, has witnessed intensified bombardment in recent days, as Israeli forces increase pressure on what they describe as strategic targets used by militant groups.

International observers have once again called for restraint and the protection of civilians, emphasizing the urgent need for humanitarian aid and a renewed push for ceasefire negotiations. This latest airstrike adds to the growing toll of destruction and underscores the ongoing volatility in the region.
