Israel has resumed the delivery of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, with 100 trucks entering the region today, according to the Defense Ministry’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). This marks the first aid convoy to cross into Gaza since deliveries were halted on March 2.
COGAT stated that the decision to allow the aid convoy was made “following the recommendation of professional IDF officials and in accordance with the directive of the political echelon.”
The convoy, which passed through the Kerem Shalom Crossing, included essential supplies such as flour, baby food, and medical equipment. All items were first inspected by Israeli authorities before being allowed into the territory.

Despite the resumed aid flow, UN agencies on the ground report ongoing difficulties. According to UN sources, they have been unable to collect or distribute the aid due to a lack of coordination with Israeli authorities.

The agencies claim that Israel has yet to provide the necessary logistical and security arrangements to enable distribution efforts, leaving the aid stalled and undelivered.
COGAT has not yet publicly addressed the UN’s concerns, despite the matter being raised for nearly two days. As humanitarian needs in Gaza remain critical, the ongoing lack of coordination threatens to undermine relief efforts. International observers continue to call for greater transparency and cooperation to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.
