Flights at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport were suspended following the interception of missile debris launched from Yemen, further intensifying regional tensions.

The incident came amid a growing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where international outrage continues to mount over Israel’s ongoing blockade and military operations.

Trucks loaded with essential aid—food, water, and medical supplies—remain stalled at Gaza’s borders. The Strip’s Government Media Office reports that at least 57 Palestinians have died from starvation due to Israel’s complete siege, with access to humanitarian relief almost entirely cut off.

The situation inside Gaza is rapidly deteriorating. Since dawn on Saturday, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 45 Palestinians, including three infants, according to medical and civil defense sources. The continuous bombardment, now in its seventh month, has left large swaths of the territory in ruins.

The death toll in Gaza, as per the Health Ministry, has climbed to at least 52,495, with over 118,000 others injured. The Gaza Government Media Office reports a higher estimate—over 61,700 fatalities—citing thousands still buried under the rubble who are presumed dead.

The war began after the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel, which claimed the lives of an estimated 1,139 people and resulted in the capture of more than 200 hostages.

Global calls for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access have intensified. UN officials and human rights organizations are urging Israel to lift the blockade and allow lifesaving aid into Gaza, warning of a worsening famine and the collapse of health services in the besieged territory.

As the crisis escalates, the international community continues to push for accountability, protection of civilians, and urgent diplomatic intervention to end the suffering of millions caught in the crossfire.
