The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a public notice declaring 41-year-old Elie Bitar as wanted in connection with an alleged fraud scheme involving the online trading platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
In a statement released on the EFCC’s official X (formerly Twitter) account and signed by Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, authorities revealed that Bitar’s last known address is on Eng. George Enemoh Crescent in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State.
The statement highlighted Bitar’s connection to the fraud and included his photograph to assist the public in identifying him.

The EFCC is calling on anyone with information regarding Bitar’s whereabouts to come forward. Citizens are encouraged to contact any of the Commission’s offices located in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin City, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja.

Alternatively, tips can be relayed via telephone at 08093322644, by emailing [email protected], or by reaching out to the nearest police station and other security agencies.

By urging the public to remain vigilant and report any pertinent information, the Commission aims to accelerate the investigation and ensure that those involved in fraudulent activities are brought to justice.
