Victor Osimhen has finally opened up about his highly anticipated summer transfer, delivering a bittersweet message for Galatasaray fans while setting the stage for a blockbuster move to one of Europe’s elite clubs.
After spending a successful loan spell at Turkish giants Galatasaray, Osimhen has confirmed that his time in Istanbul is coming to an end.
The 26-year-old striker, currently on loan from Napoli, has been a revelation in the Süper Lig, netting 21 goals in just 24 appearances and playing a pivotal role in Gala’s title charge. The club currently sits three points clear of arch-rivals Fenerbahçe, led by Jose Mourinho.

Despite his incredible impact and the overwhelming support from the fans, Osimhen has made it clear that he won’t be staying in Turkey beyond this season. In a recent interview with NTV, the Nigerian international said:

“Galatasaray will always be in my heart. There are always rumours about me, but I think about the present. I am enjoying this moment; the fans always support me. At the right time, the best decision for everyone will be made.”
While Galatasaray reportedly have the financial muscle to activate his €75 million release clause, the main stumbling block lies in Osimhen’s salary demands, which are believed to be in the region of €11 million per year — a figure well beyond the Turkish club’s current wage structure.

This opens the door wide for a summer transfer, and the Premier League appears to be his most likely destination. Chelsea and Manchester United are understood to be at the forefront of the race for his signature, while Arsenal and Liverpool are also keeping close tabs on the situation.

Juventus, too, have shown interest, but given that Osimhen’s release clause does not apply to Serie A clubs, the Bianconeri are at a disadvantage compared to their Premier League counterparts.
Osimhen’s departure marks the end of an emotional yet fruitful chapter with Galatasaray. Despite joining under uncertain circumstances following failed moves last summer, he has thrived in Istanbul and built a strong rapport with the fanbase.

However, the lure of top-flight football in England — and the chance to compete on a larger stage — seems to be the next logical step in his career.
As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on where Osimhen lands next. One thing is certain: the Nigerian forward is ready for his next big challenge — and it might just be in the Premier League.
